Finances often dictate whether you will hire a lawyer.  Since the 2008 crash many couples find themselves emotionally divorced but maintaining one household due to lack of money to hire a lawyer.  On the other hand, many people think they can handle their own divorce, only to find out they’ve walked into a mine field.

I have been volunteering in Los Angeles for the past three years.  Although I don’t know what we would do without the Internet, I also find that it’s a quick way to find bad advice or incomplete advice.  I have tremendous compassion for those who cannot find the right lawyer or think they have to go it alone when they do not.

I am offering a one hour program for anyone who is considering divorce but doesn’t know where to start.  You will walk away with a better understanding of where to find help, what resources are available for free, and how to research and approach an attorney if you decide you need to hire one.
